Melancholy is a fundamental mood of the human condition, arising from our awareness of time, transience, and loss.

The Collection

Melancholy is a receptiveness to longing, emotion, and sorrow - a deep awareness of the passage of time. I believe this defines me at my core and forms the foundation of my work, interwoven with the atmosphere and aesthetic that were so characteristic of my childhood.

I’ve always been drawn to what happens beneath the surface: human behavior, unspoken tension, atmosphere. My portraits and figures reflect a need to understand people and to connect.

The works shown here are all original and finished works. To receive the Catalogue including prices and access to studies, limited edition giclée prints, you are invited to join the Collector’s Circle.
